When removing a selection from your Acca, your bet is cashed out, with the cash-out sum immediately used to place an Acca on the remaining selections at the current prices.

When you add a selection, the extra leg is simply slipped into your bet, and the returns are adjusted accordingly. If the additional leg has not started, you will receive the pre-match odds, and if the game has begun, you will get the current In-Play price.
